Hi Atmosphere Community!
I’d like to share Aerox, an AT Protocol backend built with Elixir, Phoenix, and PostgreSQL.
The idea is to make a complete AT Protocol stack easier to self-host and operate:
- All services in one application: PDS, PLC directory, Relay, AppView, Labeler, and Jetstream, with service boundaries preserved and individual services optionally enabled.
- PostgreSQL across all services: account repositories share PostgreSQL tables, avoiding the need to manage and back up a separate SQLite database for every account.
- An incremental AppView indexing engine: consumes repository changes to build social views, with persisted cursors, backfill, and Broadway processing partitioned by DID.
Aerox also includes OAuth, account migration tools, and experimental permissioned data support through Spaces.
It’s under active development and released under Apache 2.0. I’d welcome feedback, especially on the OTP architecture, indexing pipeline, and interoperability.
