Hello friends! Spaces repo exports are going to use STAR files instead of CARs, which is a new(ish!) format I made originally for safer and more efficient public repo exports.
STAR is now on its way to DASL as a general-purpose key-value archive format alternative to CAR, and the atproto spaces proposed spec is adopting it for space repo exports.
I’ve gathered a summary of feedback to date and unsettled design points, and wanted to make sure there was space on this forum too to have input and provide feedback!
