The Technical Steering Committee has finished a restructuring of how Lexicon Community operates. This is the short version of what changed.
The website is now the source of truth. Governance documents are live at https://lexicon.community/ and include the governance model, contributor covenant, and contributing guide, each versioned with an effective date and a changelog. The site also has a directory of every published schema. We’re archiving the old governance repository.

A dedicated AT Protocol repository for lexicons was created. community.lexicon.* NSIDs now resolve through @lexicons.lexicon.community, a dedicated repository that holds the published schema records and nothing else.
We’ve simplified the process that we are impressing on the community to develop and iterate on lexicons. Anyone can start a working group without asking us first. The TSC gets involved at the end, when a pull request needs approval, and the bar for acceptance is real-world use.
We meet monthly now, first Thursday at 1:00 PM ET. The meeting is published as a community.lexicon.calendar.event record, one of our own lexicons.
