A month ago Cloudflare started using EmDash in production for their company blog: The Cloudflare Blog – Brought to you by EmDash | Cloudflare Blog
Now EmDash is releasing v1.0 with its sandboxed plugins system by the end of this month, and they’ve put out a call for community plugins.
Calling all plugin devs!
We will be launching EmDash 1.0 really soon, and we will be doing a big public splash. Part of that will be announcing the new plugin registry, so we expect there to be lots of eyes on it. This is a great opportunity for you to get in front of lots of potential new users! But this requires you to be in the registry. If you’re just in npm, there will be no visibility. We are really strongly encouraging people to use sandboxed plugins because they’re safer and easier to install.
If you’ve not published a plugin: now is the perfect time to try to build it! The skills have been udpated with all the new APIs, so agents will know how to build with them. We also have lots of new test utilities to make it easier to test plugins in a real sandbox without deploying them anywhere
Finally, we are in the early stages of planning for a plugin hackathon with real prizes. You don’t need to wait though! Any plugin already in the regsitry will be eligible, so you can get a head start now.
